I bought the upgrade module and touch screen replacement kit for my 2016 Cadillac SRX. The car is "new" to me, but lacking Android Auto and had a non-responsive spot in the CUE touch screen. So I read about a lot of options online and the UNAVI solution appeared to have the best integration options without losing any of the factory features. I installed both myself. The whole process took me about an afternoon. The screen is pretty good quality, but the gasket is clearly not as nice as the OEM seal. It does work great and it is a totally acceptable replacement to the factory screen. So perfect marks. The module upgrade is a great kit. All of the connections mate up perfectly with the factory harnesses and provide extra play in the cables for easier relocation. This 2016 SRX application is a SUPER TIGHT FIT and I was only able to squeeze the module through the holes behind the main unit given the cable length provided. For this application it would be awesome to have longer cables so we could mount the module behind the glove box. Otherwise, everything did plug in perfectly and functionality was perfect. The only functional "glitch" is that bluetooth connectivity takes some troubleshooting. This is mostly because my devices have many bluetooth connections. It works best when you turn off all bluetooth connections to your phone while getting this unit up and running. After that, everything is working flawlessly. This upgrade really makes the vehicle feel more modern and it is so much nicer to operate. One other feature that would be very nice is if you made a harness so that we could bypass and remove the factory CD player. There is no use for this brick other than to leave speaker functionality intact. If we could remove the CD player, there is tons of room to install the module and it would have been a 30 minute job to install the whole thing!!! Nice work, UNAVI.

Also, we would like to check the Bluetooth connectivity issue you have as it may just require reconnecting to Bluetooth properly and you wouldn't need to turn off your other Bluetooth connections. It was an easy installation, it was harder to get the Bluetooth connected than anything else. It works great and it makes easy transition from your phone to the vehicle. It is a shame that Cadillac did not have Apple CarPlay as standard option. I still have the option to maintain my normal controls and it allows me the option to keep the car as a stick options which I love. GREAT PRODUCT!! Would highly recommend. The install video might need some clarification but other than that it’s a great product!

I love my car but really missed Apple Car Play integration. There are few things as annoying as your car playing the first alphabetical song in your play list every time you get in the car. This is solved by Apple Car Play and the integrated navigation is next level. The install was complex but the support from Unavi was excellent. It was responsive and helpful and the guided me through any issues. If you are on the fence, you should make the jump!
The UNAVI CarPlay module was easy to install and truly is a plug and play unit. I couldn’t be happier or more amazed by this upgrade!!
