I was expecting a long, complicated install, but after watching a few videos and going through the manual I decided to go for it yesterday evening. Lots of connectors to deal with on the factory radio, and a very tight fit, but to my amazement, it started up and worked flawlessly. Truly "plug-and-play". Everything is working using Carplay exactly as I would expect it to on a new car. Can't wait to take a long roadtrip and have maps and traffic on the main display again (Acura ended support for XM traffic on this model) and access to my music and podcasts without having to fiddle with my phone.
