Excellent product and installation service

Purchased CarPlay interface for a Jaguar F-Type. Unavi's website was easy to navigate and the purchasing process was seamless. I appreciated the fact that Unavi asked me for vehicle information to confirm the fit of the unit I bought. They referred me immediately to a local installer. Installers are trained by Unavi and have detailed installation videos they can refer to, a wealth of information specific to each vehicle's installation. The whole process was excellent, the price is competitive and most importantly the product is great and has propelled my 2014 car into modern times!

Great Purchase! Works Fantastic!

The product does exactly as advertised, seamless integration with the OE audio system in my car. The professional installation service is great, very helpful, after installing the system they took the time to show me how to use it. I am really satisfied with my purchase, it adds the CarPlay functionality to the car!

Does what is says. No BT through head unit.

This was fairly easy for me to install on my own, and it works really well when switching from stock set up to this set up. However, Android auto is spotty when two different drivers use the same vehicle. Also, my car has issues with Bluetooth connect and doesn't switch between drivers well. I was hoping I could bypass stock Bluetooth, but clearly didn't read enough to realize this doesn't do that. Overall, I am happy. Instructions for install were way to small and hard to read, but it was enough for me to figure it all out. Not to hard of an install at all. With the help of a little youtube.

Very useful add on

Great product. I had it installed on my 2017 Mercedes GLC300 and it is great. Can you imagine a Mercedes where navigation was useless and this car play adapter was a great add on. Too bad Mercedes did not have touch screen and if it had that would have been superb.

Car Play Installed

We are very happy with our Car Play for our 2022 Audi Q5. It arrived in a timely manner and was very easy to install, thanks to the detailed YouTube install guide. We love it and feel it was well worth the cost. Makes our car seem new again. Our gps hidden been updates ever, so we just quit using it. Having Car Play was the perfect choice for us.

Best Option out there

Let's start with installation, it is not easy but they have a great video and Pdf to help. Carplay itself is flawless. Easy connectivity. I 100% recommend this over any other option.

Great install

Just had Unavi carplay installed on my 2018 Mercedes GLC300. Carplay is a great addition to my vehicle since Mercedes stopped their support of mBrace and Mercedes Me. The unit is functioning great so far. A big shout out to Horizon Audio in Canton, Ohio for a trouble free installation. The tech there gave me a complete lesson on how to operate the carplay.

wonderful product

My wife has wanted CarPlay in her s550 for years. It was an easy self install.Instructions were perfect and the Tech Dept was right on it when I had a couple of questions.

My thoughts 2014 Cadillac cts

Very easy install I’m up and running at first I was having problems hearing Siri read messages or ask her questions and I narrowed it down to in wireless connection it doesn’t like the usb plugged in 🤷🏾‍♂️after I figured that out it has been great I get a incoming text me having it to read them automatically works like a charm I pulled a Tesla style radio for this setup and I’m not disappointed

Flawless

I'm always skeptical of aftermarket items but, after my local Mercedes dealership wasn't able to figure out if they could "activate" CarPlay on my wife's 2018 GLC-300, I decided to give this Unavi add-on a try.

I am mechanically inclined so for me, the install was simple. It's not complicated anyway, but it went off without a hitch.

The only issue I ran into was the Bluetooth audio configuration initially. I had to go to integrated, off, and then on again.

Other than that, it works perfectly and my wife is sooooo happy that her car has CarPlay like mine now.

Apple CarPlay for 2010-2023 Mercedes Benz E Class | Wireless & Wired |

I recently had an older module installed back in 2022 with all the Apple updates. there seemed to be some issues that were starting to develop so I reached out to one of the Customer Service personnel and and they informed me that was a upgraded version luckily for me I did listen and purchased the new unit
This unit works great so many improvements. I can’t list them. The quality of the sound the display the functionality all of it is just snapping across the screen. It works great. I must say other than my car. This is one of my more intelligent purchases

Installed for about two weeks now, and seems to work as stated. Video quality is good. I wish the front camera had an adjustable mount like the discontinued GX300. I was not able to mount it where I wanted it to be. Other than that, it’s a good camera for the price, and that’s why I didn’t give it a five.

Unlike the GX300, the front camera on the GX1000 is designed so that only the lens angle can be adjusted. You can manually adjust the camera lens angle to achieve the desired position, which should help ensure convenient use. Thank you.

Just Okay - 2017 Infiniti G50

Having had an aftermarket wired and wireless car play in my previous vehicle I was expecting a similar experience. Unfortunately this unit is not wired as advertised, it only works with Bluetooth on which can be a clunky in connecting and can cut out at times. I am not sure why they sell the usb add when all it does is charge, I could have kept my factory console USB.

Hi —thanks for the feedback. Our system supports both wired and wireless CarPlay. If a wired session doesn’t start, please try an Apple-/MFi-certified cable (or a different cable) and be sure you’re plugging into our add-on USB port, not the factory console USB.
For audio, Bluetooth pairing with the factory radio is required even when using wired CarPlay—that’s by design.

The optional USB kit isn’t just for charging; it provides a clean, OEM-style installation point and enables reliable wired CarPlay.

Important odd review

This product is great when it is working. We struggled with it at first. Then it worked great for 9 months and now we are back to a black screen all together although the back up camera finally works all the time.Unavi has responded immediately to all issues which is why they get 4 stars!!!Aftermarket’s are difficult and none have been smooth but when this works I love it and when it doesn’t well . . .
